Usage Instructions

To use the standard Mauve software in graphical mode, simply download and install the GUI Installer for your platform.

To use command-line programs on Linux and Mac OS X, note that you must first unzip snapshots and make them executable:
bunzip2 progressiveMauve.bz2
chmod 755 progressiveMauve

To use command-line programs in Windows, it may be necessary to download the contents of the Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP folder from the "Other programs" link and place that folder and its contents in the same directory as the command-line program.
